What Is Asthma

Asthma is a lung condition that can cause breathing problems in both adults and children. Asthmatic people have inflamed airways that become tight and filled with mucus when exposed to certain triggers.


There is no known cause for Asthma. A lot of sufferers find the some of the following can be triggers:


-Allergies

-Eczema

-Smoking (tobacco products)

-Damp or Mould

-Change in weather

-Exercising

-Stress or excessive laughter

-Chemicals

-Anti Inflammatory Medicine

-Infections (cold or flu)

-Pet fur/Hair


A lot of people are able to manage their asthma through the use of preventative inhalers and reliever inhalers. In some cases tablets are also taken.


Anyone can have Asthma and both children and adults can be affected.
